Where Claude Motion Clip Fits in Everyday Work
Every clip you build is a Motion-template artifact — animation code rather than footage — stored in the Artifacts tab for later edits and exports.
- Animation Code, Not Video FootageBecause the output is code, the result plays like a short video yet never renders photoreal people or filmed scenes.
- Filed as a Motion Template ArtifactEvery clip you build is saved to the Artifacts tab, so you can come back and reopen it whenever you need it.
- Beta Access on Team and EnterpriseTeam workspaces have it on by default; Enterprise admins activate it under Organization settings > Artifacts.
Three Ways to Produce a Claude Motion Clip
Pick whichever route suits you — a chat request, the template or the editor — and finish with a clip you can export or pass along.
What Claude Motion Clip Lets You Do
Targeted edits, your own source files, a clean MP4 download and sharing you control — the hands-on side of building with Motion.
Tweak a Single Detail
Change one number, label or beat and every other scene holds the timing and layout it already had.
Grounded in Your Own Files
Upload the deck, sheet or pictures you want on screen so each scene is drawn from material you supplied.
Kept in the Artifacts Tab
Finished animations sit in the Artifacts tab, which makes any clip quick to locate and reopen later.
One-Click MP4 Export
Export hands you a file you can drop straight into decks, onboarding flows or all-hands sessions.
Private Until You Share
Nobody else sees a clip until you open it yourself and deliberately pass it on with Share.
Admin Control Over Rollout
Owners enable Motion under Organization settings > Artifacts, and Enterprise can limit it to chosen groups through custom roles.
Claude Motion Clip: Questions Answered
Straight answers on how these clips are produced, which plans can use them and the way they get shared.
Does Claude Motion generate realistic video or people?
No. There is no video-generation model behind it — text, charts, shapes and images are animated as code, so the output reads as designed rather than filmed.
Which plans include it, and is it on by default?
The beta covers Team and Enterprise. Team workspaces have it switched on already; Enterprise needs an admin to enable it first.
How does an owner turn Claude Motion on?
An admin goes to Organization settings > Artifacts and flips the toggle there. On Enterprise, custom roles can limit access to specific groups.
Do clips count against plan usage limits?
Yes — they draw on the same allowance as other Claude work, and a long or intricate animation consumes more of it than a short message.
Can I change one figure or the timing afterwards?
You can request a tweak in chat or make the change yourself in the editor; scenes you leave alone keep their original look and pacing.
How do I download or share a finished animation?
Export saves an MP4 file. Clips stay private until you open one and use Share to distribute it.
Make Your First Claude Motion Clip in the Artifacts Tab
Choose Motion as your template, describe the animation you need and export an MP4. Workspace owners may first need to switch Motion on under Organization settings > Artifacts.
