What Claude Animation Does Differently

Claude animation works from assets you already have rather than inventing footage, so the output is a compact motion piece whose every element stays individually editable.

  • Your Documents Become Motion
Drop in a quarterly report, a pricing comparison or a set of setup steps and receive something short and animated in return: an all-hands explainer, a chart for a board deck, a walkthrough for onboarding.
  • Motion Written as Code
Each piece is an artifact grown from the Motion template. Claude generates the code that shifts the text, charts, shapes and images inside it, and the whole thing plays back like a brief video.
  • Edit One Detail at a Time
Because code sits underneath, a single word, figure or timing change can be made on its own while every other part of the piece holds exactly as it was.

Three Ways Into Claude Animation

Pick whichever entry point suits you best: ask inside a chat, open the Motion template, or hand over files you already have.

What You Can Do Once Your Animation Exists

Conversational revisions, MP4 export and admin toggles included — here is everything Claude animation lets you do after a motion piece has been built.

Revise Through Chat

Ask for changes in plain conversation — ease the second scene down, or replace the Q3 figure with 18% — and Claude reworks the animation you already have instead of starting from zero.

Manual Edits When You Want Them

Prefer to work by hand? Open the editor and reshape the animation directly rather than explaining the change to Claude.

One-Click MP4 Export

Choose Export, select MP4, and the finished piece arrives as a video file ready for decks, events or onboarding packs.

Private Until You Share

A fresh animation is visible to you alone; open one and hit Share to send it out, within whatever artifact sharing rules your organization has in place.

Admin Controls and Template Toggles

Owners can switch Claude Motion on or off under Organization settings > Artifacts — on by default for Team, held off on Enterprise until enabled, and limitable to chosen groups through custom roles.

Kept in Your Artifacts Tab

Every piece lands in the Artifacts tab, so earlier explainers, charts and walkthroughs stay there to reopen, adjust or hand on later.

FAQ

Claude Animation: Common Questions

Straight answers about Claude animation — plan availability, how editing works, exports, usage limits and what admins must set up.

1

Which subscription plans include Claude Animation?

Motion sits in beta on Team and Enterprise. Team workspaces get it switched on automatically, while Enterprise stays dark until an owner enables it from Organization settings > Artifacts.

2

Can Claude Animation produce realistic footage or people?

Not at all. There is no video generation model behind it, so lifelike scenes and human subjects are outside what it does. You get code-driven motion applied to the text, charts, shapes and images already inside your material.

3

Is it possible to adjust a single detail without rebuilding everything?

Yes. The piece is code, so you can ask in chat for a different word, number or timing — or change it directly in the editor — and the rest of the animation stays exactly where it was.

4

What is the way to export or pass along an animation?

Use Export and choose MP4 to save the file. Fresh animations stay private to you until you open one and hit Share, which sends it out under your organization's artifact sharing rules.

5

Do these animations use up my plan's usage limits?

Yes. Each build is charged against your plan allowance much like any other request in Claude, and lengthier or more intricate pieces consume more of it than a simple message would.

6

What must an admin enable before anyone can use it?

An owner or Primary Owner turns on Cloud code execution and file creation in Organization settings > Capabilities first, then enables Artifacts and the Motion template in Organization settings > Artifacts. Disabling a template later does not affect pieces already built with it.

Ready to See Claude Animation on Your Own Report?
