Inside the Claude Motions Artifact
This beta artifact inside Claude takes files you already have and renders them as compact, self-playing animations instead of static pages.
- Your Clip Is an Artifact, Not an App ExportBecause every result is produced from the Motion template, it sits beside your other artifacts in Claude rather than being trapped inside a separate editing app.
- No Video Model — The Code Does the MovingNothing here renders lifelike people or filmed scenes; the motion comes from code arranging the headings, charts, shapes and pictures you hand over.
- Everything Lands in Your Artifacts TabReopen, revise or pass along any clip later — the Artifacts tab is where each one waits, filed next to the rest of your workspace material.
Getting a Clip Out of Claude Motions
A written request, a template pick and an export — that is the whole path from rough idea to a clip you can share.
What You Can Do Inside Claude Motions
Briefing advice, scene-level edits and manual nudges — here is the toolkit you get when your own files become the raw material.
Name the Audience, Screen and Length First
Before Claude Motions begins, state who will watch, where the clip will play and roughly how long it should run.
Bring Your Own Decks, Numbers and Visuals
Upload the deck, spreadsheet or imagery you want featured, so the finished piece mirrors your material instead of inventing content.
Fix One Scene by Simply Asking
Request the change in the conversation — a slower second scene, or a corrected Q3 figure of 18% — and only that portion is rebuilt.
Drag Things Around in the Editor
If describing a change feels slower than doing it, open the editor and reposition the Claude Motions elements by hand.
Small Edits Stay Small
The output is code, so changing a single word, figure or timing cue leaves every other element exactly where it was.
Beta Rollout and Admin Controls
Claude Motions ships in beta for Team and Enterprise: Team workspaces get it switched on from the start, while Enterprise owners enable it under Organization settings > Artifacts and can limit it to chosen groups with custom roles.
Claude Motions: Common Questions
Short answers on plan access, the beta toggle, and the ways you can save or hand off a finished clip.
Which plans get access to Claude Motions?
Beta access covers Team and Enterprise plans. Team workspaces start with it enabled, while Enterprise requires an owner to switch it on first under Organization settings > Artifacts.
Will it generate realistic footage or humans?
No — no video generation model is involved. What you get are explainers, charts and walkthroughs assembled from the content you supply, not lifelike people or filmed scenes.
Do I have to rebuild everything to fix one figure?
Not at all. Because the clip is code, revising a single word, value or timing cue leaves the rest of the animation exactly as it was.
Where are my finished animations stored?
Each Claude Motions result is filed in the Artifacts tab, sitting alongside the other artifacts already in your workspace.
What is the way to download or share a clip?
Pick Export, then MP4, to keep a copy. New animations are private by default — open one and choose Share to let others view it.
Does it count against my plan's usage allowance?
Yes. Making a clip draws on your plan allowance much like any other request, and longer or more involved animations consume more of it.
Turn Your Next Report Into Motion With Claude Motions
Open Claude and either select the Motion template or describe the clip you want in chat. Enterprise teams need an owner to enable Claude Motions under Organization settings > Artifacts first.
