How claude motion design Turns a Brief Into a Moving Explainer

Every scene is generated as code rather than filmed, so your text, numbers, shapes, and images glide into place — and any element stays editable afterwards.

  • Code-Powered Animation
Your brief becomes a Motion artifact: code that choreographs text, charts, shapes, and images. No video model is involved, so expect graphic motion rather than live-action people or footage.
  • Each Render Becomes a Saved Artifact
Whatever you build lands in the Artifacts tab automatically; Motion is just one template among several you can choose when you start something new.
  • Tweak a Detail Without Breaking the Rest
Since the result is code, swapping a word, updating a figure, or nudging the timing affects only that piece — every other element stays exactly as it was.

From Brief to MP4 in Three Steps with claude motion design

Three short steps take you from a written request to an animation you can share or download.

Inside claude motion design: What You Can Do

Prompt recipes, live chat edits, a full editor, MP4 downloads, and workspace-level controls — everything unlocked once Motion is switched on for your team.

Ready-Made Briefs for Business Scenarios

Request a 30-second company update drawn from a quarterly deck, a moving pricing comparison for a sales kickoff, or a quick onboarding tour for new sign-ups.

Edit by Talking to It

Type something like “hold the second scene longer” or “swap the Q3 figure to 18%” and the change is applied without disturbing anything else.

Direct Control in the Editor

If words fall short, jump into the editor and reposition, retime, or restyle each scene by hand.

Download as MP4

Choose Export, pick MP4, and the animation lands as a file you can drop into a slide deck, an email, or a help-center page.

Private Until You Decide to Share

New animations are visible only to you — open any of them and hit Share when you want teammates to see it.

Workspace-Level Admin Controls

Owners and Primary Owners switch Motion on or off under Organization settings > Artifacts; it ships enabled for Team, disabled for Enterprise, and can be scoped to selected groups via custom roles.

FAQ

claude motion design: Your Questions Answered

Straight answers on plan access, what the tool can animate, where finished files are stored, and how downloads work.

1

Is claude motion design available on my plan?

It is currently in beta for Team and Enterprise workspaces. Team accounts get it switched on automatically; Enterprise accounts stay off until an owner enables it under Organization settings > Artifacts.

2

Can it produce live-action footage or human actors?

No — there is no video model in the pipeline. What animates is your own copy, charts, shapes, and images, rendered through code, so photoreal people and camera footage are not part of the output.

3

Where are my finished animations stored?

Each one is kept in the Artifacts tab as an artifact generated from the Motion template, sitting next to everything else you have created.

4

Will Motion count against my usage allowance?

It does. Motion is billed against the same allowance as your other work, and a lengthy or intricate animation uses noticeably more than a normal message would.

5

Is there a way to save the result as a video file?

Absolutely — pick Export, select MP4, and the animation is saved to your device as a standard video you can play, upload, or embed wherever you like.

6

Who can enable Motion for a whole organization, and is scoping possible?

Owners and Primary Owners manage the switch under Organization settings > Artifacts, and on Enterprise they can additionally narrow access to chosen groups through custom roles.
